'For years now, IÂ’ve wanted to share an album that would explore the cello – which for most of my life has been my constant companion –along the various stages of my musical journey. We begin in the Savoie region of France –where I grew up surrounded by mountains –with some true gems of the French repertoire: Saint-SaënsÂ’ The Swan (the first work I played in public), FauréÂ’s Après un rêve and the Méditation from MassenetÂ’s Thaïs, a particular favourite of my grandmotherÂ’s. We conclude the album with new beginnings and some more recent discoveries: the music of Giovanni Sollima, and the virtuoso Encore by my friend Jérôme Ducros. With Intuition, I invite you to accompany me on this journey and to discover the cello landscape through the music that means so much to me.'
